The Willimantic Country Club, nestled away in the northeast corner of Connecticut, was established in 1922 as a nine hole golf course. Over the years, the original nine holes have been incorporated into what is now a championship eighteen hole golf course, with the final six holes being completed in the early 1960's. In the tradition of most old courses, the greens are on the small side, with modest undulations and good speed. The fairways are narrow and tree lined. Fifteen holes are bunkered and three ponds provide the finishing touches. There are three sets of tees to choose from, offering a fair challenge for all skill levels.
For the golfing purists, our course lends itself well to those who prefer to walk. However, we have pull carts and motorized carts for rent if desired. The membership at WCC prides itself with being able to play 18 holes in less than four hours. With the possible exception of days when we are very busy, that pace of play is achieved by our visitors as well.
When your round is over and you wish relax with a cool beverage, or have a bite to eat, we have a full service restaurant to accommodate you.
As you can see, Willimantic Country Club has something for everyone!
